I know one thing I will be getting, because I bought for one of my heirs.

A nail varnish shaker

Yes, I know!

But I will repurpose it to shake and shake and shake  my Vallejo paint bottles, each with a small ball bearing in ...... fancy that, properly mixed paint and my wrist still intact.

Of course we all know you actually want your favorite fuchsia nail varnish to go on your nails properly  :)

It certainly is. I can now say that Jewel Staite has wished me a Merry Christmas and blown me a kiss ..... the fact that she couldn't pick me out of a line up if I was the only one in it is neither here nor there :D

Some wargame and history books, which I ordered myself or gave the info to the family. So a couple of Airfix magazine guides on the 8th Army and Afrika Korps for that nostalgia hit, Bob Cordery's The Portable Pike & Shot Wargames and Nomonhan 1939 (or Khalkin Gol). A nice mix of stuff as at my age, frankly I have everything I really need, so books are those little luxuries I still enjoy receiving :).

fred.

I got a few gaming things for Christmas (largely ordered myself, but lets me go for some of the things I have been umming and arhing about)

Pendraken box of goodies, several landing craft in resin, WWI German troops, including the very cool 37mm anti-tank gun. And the new MDF trebechet, which is surprising large (in a good way)

A new desert mat from Deep Cut Studios, and

Irregular Wars Fantastic Battles - which is available from Amazon so easy to add to a wish list for my extended family to buy from

I also got a few cycling things. All in all a good day, even if it was restricted to our immediate household. Although catering wise I hadn't really worked this through so we will be having lots of left overs for a good few days!

I had to look her up.

I said to all the family that a PayPal money gift would suffice if they couldn't think of a suitable present. I also reminded them that I'm on a weight reduction diet due to my coronary artery issue.

So what did I get?

A pair of diabetic socks, some nice smelly stuff, a box of chocolates, a box of chocolates, a box of chocolates, a box of chocolates, an Amazon gift voucher, an Amazon gift voucher, an Amazon gift voucher and finally a high spec computer game.
