Thanks chaps. Yep, on a good day with stops I've done it in around 7 and a bit hours, but that was when full lockdown had kicked in. Normally we're looking at over 8 hours and that's with hitting the road at 4.00am to get past Birmingham and Manchester before the rush hour kicks in. After that it's plain sailing, famous last words!

Your sat nav will give you the terrifying message - stay on this road for 173 miles, just north of Preston. Luck with the road works. :!

Luckily I don't use a satnav otherwise the whole distance thing would be too depressing. Last time the roadworks weren't too bad, but are taking an enternity to complete.

Over 2 yrs to do between 16 and 19 on the 6, going south I always went round Crewe and joined at 16.

Basing today in the form of laying some concrete by our front door to prevent water ingress. The gas board didn't make good their work many moons ago and before our time in the house .

The third of the six Dacian warbands is now based up. 3 to go, and I've done flesh, hair, and shoes on them too. Just as well I've also got some Pendraken renaissance reinforcements on their way, and sent in an order for two renaissance galley fleets today. Other projects involve a bit more ECW baggage, and a few slingers among my Norsemen. Ah, and there's a turtle ship to be assembled for a little naval support against the Japanese invaders.

4th Dacian warband is based. May be seeing action next week.
