Hi

Flying over my house yesterday evening. Actually 15 balloons altogether, a not infrequent event when the conditions are right, probably coming from Bath.

It's been quite sometime since we've seen any fancy balloons our way, which is a shame as they look so damned good.

Here's hoping the flight didn't go with a bang! :)

I remember, when I lived on the edge of The Meadows in Edinburgh, taking the kids down, at dusk on the days before the actual flights, to see the balloons inflated for a Night Glow. Wandering through the trees by the light of what were effectively enormous paper lanterns was quite magical.

I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

Don't be silly, I didn't move to Edinburgh for the first time until 1968 ..... but, speaking of memories, have I told you about watching the last legionaries embark as they left Britannia forever? :P :) :D
