Given that Deeside Defenders has Will McNally as a member I know that 20mm plastics are pretty good these days. They also offer a cheap option.

Yep... I'm definitely a cheap-skate! They also take up slightly less storage room too...  :)

Spot on! I've been eying up those Strelets - you've done a great job!

How was the plastic to work with?

I've found that the plastic takes paint well - it's not manufacturer dependant. I have HaT, Airfix and others for Andrevia, no flaking. Also seemed to glue together much better than the 70's stuff. Don't discount em.

Cheers Ian - I had some very difficult stuff from Strelets for a customer a couple years ago and they were a nightmare. On the other hand like you I have a load of HaT and others which have been fine!

I really, truly don't need another project let alone another Lace Wars ish horse and musket one, but...

If it does cause a problem try washing in luke warm soapy water, Will (MacNally) tells me that that works.

I always do that with plastics, since some unfortunate experience with Airfix figures very early on :D
