Qin and Han are marching onto the field. Can the Kitty maintain his winning military streak (3-0), or was his humiliating defeat yesterday evening at chess a sign of things to come? Watch these pages, gentle reader, and all shall be revealed.

We await with anticipation.

1) Ch'in prepare for usual massed impetuous head-hunting charge.
2) Han admire their new high-tech Sitting Tigers. As it happens, they caused some casualties on my barbarian auxilliaries, but didn't affect the outcome much.

1) On the Han left, the Kuaile Xiaohua patrols the new river. The name means "Happy Little Flower", and is the Chinese transltion of the Thai name "Krisanan" (Lee's real name).
2) I had hopes of turning the Han flank with more Xiong-Nu allies. There's also an ambush in the trees.

5) Shihuang Ti waits for the right moment.
6)  The prince led the Ch'in cavalry onto the opposite force, encouraged by good omens. The Hsiung-Nu stood by to tie down the Han chariots. Then control broke down and the barbarians just stood there while the chariots saved their horsemen. Never trust cheap Chinese omens!

7) Frankly, I thought the Han were cutting their own heads off, advancing so far ahead of their foot.

8,9) We sent their cavalry reeling, and launched an ambush (which failed to make any impression).

10) Failure of barbarian cavalry support got us taken in flank; then the barbarians themselves were carved up.
11) Our chariots broke though, but the rest of the army was breaking up by now.

NOT the same battle.

Yeah 100%. Been basing some Qin chariots and Chu spearmen, though spending an inordinate amount of time propping spindly broken spears and banner poles up so the resin can dry without them sliding over this weekend..

Been downscaling expectations a lot too. I love the look of your masses of troops but realised if I want to get them on the table this year to start small and form the whole army then expand the unit size from there rather than trying to form one large mutli base unit at a time.

I think my ancient Chinese armies are on the small side!

How did you ever get anything into print ?
Don't tell me.....The editor had  to completely rewrite it.
