A Fedora !!!  ;D
(Should have stayed on PenD instead of ebay! )   ;)
When WILL I wear the, (very nice!), thing?  :o As, since I've eventually got round to self-clipping hair again, (as usual), my normal flat cap tends to become a UFO in gusty winds! ;D
Wow!  8) Just remembered that I once saw UFO...at The City Hall!  ;)  "Doctor, Doctor, Pleeeease..."

A very tasteful choice, what colour?

Last Hussar prefers a trilby, it reminds him of Frank Sinatra (but I always think of Walker from Dad's Army).

Last Hussar

I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

Brown.
Actually, I hadn't realised it would be quite so big...Lord knows how big a Stetson would be...and a Texas '10 Gallon Hat' would be like wearing a bath!  ;D

Quite like Trilbys, but I don't wear the 'right' duds for it...and with my build, it might be a 'pea on a drum'!  ;D

I do have a German Helmet...(sold to my mother by a millitaria shop when I was young). Don't think it is a real German WW2 issue, though, as when I looked at comparisons a few years ago, there were differences in linings, etc.  :(  so not worth all that much. Not really outdoor wear...unless I bid for a bloody big bike on ebay...SHUDDER!   :o ;D

Original US WWII M1 Helmet, one of several acquired by by an RAF Squadron Leader along with chocolates and nylons in exchange for the return of a US Major's jeep

He caught them in the process of loading it onto their transport aircraft and threatened to have them arrested. The Squadron Leader politely pointed out that the Major should have immobilised his vehicles... hence the trade

As discussed in another thread the jeep wasn't nailed down ;)
