If you painted those clubs with a yellow tone, they could be loofahs. Wouldn't that change the character of the figures?

That's done it Nobby!  When they are next used in a game I am playing with him I will refer to them as the "loofah men."   ;D

Yep no doubt they will become like the "small boy with stick" Richard used to have that would regularly beat 2 or 3 armoured opponents.

And another week's efforts are up on the blog https://grahamsgaming.blogspot.com/2020/04/keeping-myself-busy-5.html

I'm picturing a pub rounders league  :-

Chap in blue hat to chap in green hat, "Why is it, no matter how times you send the memo round, someone always turns up in the 'away' shirt!"  =)
(I know, even though it's fantasy  :o  ;)  )

Another week's worth of daubings and paint splatter.  https://grahamsgaming.blogspot.com/2020/05/keeping-myself-busy-6.html

I've got that old Grenadier 'pacman' figure - he's been doing sterling work as "third retainer" Patsy to my knight character in our D&D5 game recently  8)

All great work  :-bd

But they are going to be on snow, Phil, but I might jazz them up a bit once I get the project fully underway.

The problem with this painting lark, my old brushes are dying and I'm running low on matt varnish. Oh well,  just stuck an order in to Leon.

In between the painting and Venice building, I decided to dig out all my 28mm medieval/fantasy scenic stuff (just to remind myself of what I had).

They look very good - hadn't thought of using the inserts that way - but its a good approach. What is the material you have on the bottom of the inserts?
