I seem to remember back in the eons of time (probably before Phil got his first toga)  there was a posting that listed all the promotions and at what number of postings you wee awarded them.

Does anyone remember this

You're right...there was a list.....But I don't think it went beyond the 10,000 mark.

If you've got too much time on your hands, you can scroll through the list of members and check folks' rank compared to their number of postings.

I'll do a quick cheat and look at one of the Stats pages.....That'll help a tiny bit.....I can't remember whether got my last promotion at 15,000 or 17,500......But (Thanks to Will) we know that there IS one at 20,000.

As I plonk out this list.

Will - 20,245 - Marquis (That was at 20,000, I'm sure)
Me - 18,931 - Count (17,500 ?)
Leon 16,061 - Viscount (15,000 ?)
No-one here at the mo' - Earl ? - (12,500?)
Andy - (Leman) 10,647 - Field Marshall (10,000 ?)
Alexander (Kitty) - 10,055 - Field Marshall
Paul R - 8,873 - General (7,500?)
Nobby - 8,778 - General
Steve J - 7,727 - General
Nik (Harwood) 7,691 - General
Ian - 7,169.....Doesn't appear to have a rank ? (Lt General ? - 5.000 ?)
Mollinary - 3,002....Major General (3,000)

So....The only thing I can't work out/remember is if there's a rank between Field Marshall & Viscount......There must be. :-....Earl (?) at 12,500...I'll put that in for the time being

My rank is "play tester", but thought I showed as a Lt Gen.

I think it should, Ian .....I ASSUME that would have kicked in at 5,000.

to me - you saying it isnt showing the Lt Gen on yoiurs, seems odd, not that I'm worrying, after all I KNOW i'm the best !

Fascinating.  

On the 'board'.....you ARE now showing as that...(It wasn't earlier, honest guv).....But still not on your profile page...or if you look at the 'list of members'....That shows you as 'Playtester'...But not any rank.

Have a gander at that, and see if it shows the same for you.
