I am  toying with the idea of building forces for the Indo-Pak war of 1965 and of course wish to use Pendraken models.  Is the M48 model iin the Vietnam range suitable? it seems to have a box like thingy on the gun barrel which doesn't seem to appear on pictures of the Pakistani used M48s I have found.

It's cast separately so you can just leave the I/R box off.

Our good friend Ian at Irregular Miniatures was speculating about doing a spin off from Bush war figures -  AK 47 with a British Brodie helmet in about eight poses including RPG7 and MMG.  If he is encouraged by kick start sales that would cover the Pakistani element.  Both sides wore the beret so many of the Korean Commando will pass proxy muster.   The Lee Enfield in SMLE but chambered for 7.62mm was also widely used as well as FN/SLR.
A Wargame survey found this war was not all the popular with gamers- which is probably the next Pendraken range will be Arab Israeli 1973.   :)

I must say that other than the easily available info on MBTs I am having issues finding anything on general kit, softskins etc.

The first master is the early M48 M48A1 and M67(first version)
I will be doing all other versions when I get some casting back this will include West German variants and US versions up to A5 and Israeli version

Hope this helps

Up to mid 60,s most armies in world still used WW2 era weapons Pakistan and India still dressed in. British era uniforms so did Israeli convert some to G3 SLR and AK you only have to alter the weapons not impossible in 10mm till a range becomes available or send them to Techno and for a small fee he will do it lol
