A mere formality. The Imperial Guard should always dress well for their enemy, at least in wargames if not for real!
Romeo and Juliet is a Verona Crisis

It was sell known in the 19th Century that victory goes to the best hats.   If they had kept the bearskin, victory would have been assured.

Repiqueone

The dismounted cavalry, and personalities (I see that carriage with Napoleon III in it as he goes to see Bismark.)  The aides de camp and various household items such as a huge wagon for Napoleon's suite that Zola described.  The baloon baskets that will allow scenarios of uhlans chasing escaping baloons!  This is a wonderful line that can only get better.  I have several photos at my RepiqueRules Yahoo! site, and some here might find the information about the Zouave rules at www.repiquerules.com of interest.  Zouave  also covers the Maximilian period, as well as the ACW.

Hi, I will put in a vote for the High Command both French and Prussian/German states but also for a 19th Century Civilian pack. Say Ladies and Gentlemen, standing and seated, village folk, city folk etc stuff you can use to spice up the terrain with for towns, farms, railways, canals etc.

Leon

I'll put those down, various civilians seem to be a common request.

Uesugi Kenshin

I think "personalities" would be very hard to discern in this scale, but I certainly would support additional leader poses being released for all of the armies!

How about some Prussian siege artillery. I have an illustration from a book published in about 1875 with a Krupp 1000ld siege gun plus a lot of the lighter stuff. While you at it, could we have some French fortress guns?????

We've got: PPW17 - Krupp 15cm siege gun.  And FPW30 - Fortress gun with line crew.

It would be good to have a figure for the french that is carring the Fanion for the 1st and 3rd Battalions of each Regiment. As there are twice as many needed as Standard Bearers I was suprised to find that there are non in any of the 10mm Ranges or in the other manufactures either - Dave you could corner the market. This comment is also true for the French Napoleonic Range.

I'm sad again , no one like my Porte-Fanion idea for the Franco-Prussian and Napleonic Wars. I think it would make the Battalion and Regiments loot not only correct but also quite special.

I agree with you privateer, I play at battalion level and port-fanions are a must.

lentulus

I don't know much about fanions - I mean, I know they were some sort of flag that are somehow unlike "colours" but what exactly were they and where and when were they used?   If it matters(it probably does) I am most likely to use this for FPW.

Leon

I'm struggling to find any pics other than with flags attached to the bayonet?

1811 Regulation
One colour/eagle per regiment, carried by 1st battalion. The other battalions have plain fanions (2d white, 3d red, 4th blue, 5th green, 6th yellow, 7th violet, 8th sky blue). Fanions were carried on a spear.

I don't know about FPW but may be something similar.

This is what they look like, can't find a line regiment one but they were the same

Greetings

Whenever I've thought about this I've decided it's better handled by conversion of an infantryman (not that I've tried this yet). Battalion and company fanions seem to have been of different sizes.

Hi,
a few years ago I bought some FP packs, but onestly I didn't like them: too gnomish looking pose. I know now that some of your 19th century range were re-modelled (especially the 1870 Prussian). Is the same for the 1870 French? And what about for the othere ranges? Planned or already done?

Thanks, Alex.

Leon

The French, Prussians, Wurttemburgers, Bavarians, Hanoverians and half of the Austrians (cavalry, command, artillery, greatcoat) are all new sculpts.

Many thanks for your answer! A really good work!  :)

While I'm thinking about the items I will order.. where can I find some photos of the new sculpts?

Alex.
