Sure that isnt a Hitchhikers guide quote ?

Not played yet, but watched one through. The major bug bear seems to be the lack of spotting rules. The other is the lack of instructions to build the things. If you enjoyed the game try "Action Stations" by Dave Manley - you can get printed copies from "Tumbling Dice".

What is it with 10mm gamers and the flipside for 3mm (1/600) naval ?   A growing number of us have "come out" in our addiction to the fun of 1/600, be it ACW, WW1 or WW2 naval .

I think it may be the skirmish factor where, it a sheet of blue (the ocean), a couple of rocks and a small outlay of models - not forgetting a good choice of playable rules,( Hammering Iron to Action Stations , you can have a lot of fun on a small budget.  :)

Who knows,  Leon might even commission a few hard to get items ???  :d
RAF control tower in 1/600 ?

My addiction runs to 6mm, 10mm, 15mm, 25/28mm and 54mm ;D

Been there and done it in my 55  + years of wargaming.  But for the past 10 years have majored on 10mm to the exclusion of other scales, until my wife bought me a 1/600 Ark Royal model for £1 in a charity shop.

Roughly 1/1000 rather than 1/600 but even I, derider of "Wendy Houses" :) , can live with that, in the absence of anything better.

Hi,

Try Heriocs and Ross for boats etc. They have a good range and the prices are very good.

Good advice.  Andy Kirk purchased the old Skytrex range. There is also a good harbour range for those of us who love building dioramas  :)

Heroics and Ros have both 1/300th and 1/600th scale stuff. I think all the harbour stuff is 1/600.

Reinforcements for the British have just turned up!

Two very nice resin castings from Heroics and Ros, very clean with minimal need for cleaning up.
