I think I read somewhere (years ago) she was supposed to be naked originally. And that she would have been quite happy to do it like that.

Realistically, going into a cryogenic sleep chamber wearing anything not designed for the temperatures would be risky...

(And, yes, I know those couldn't really be cryogenic chambers for various reasons, but that's what they were  called...)
