Bill (d'Guy) came to my home to learn HOTT and to play in this years GBnUIT Tournament. First off, it was a genuine pleasure to meet Bill, who is true gentleman in every sense of the word.

We got in his first game, which is truly a learning game, with his Parliamentarian Army against my Halloween Army (had to go with that one due to the time of the year) . I have to commend Bill on his first game, and his quick learning of the rules. He's back to day and I suspect going to be a very formidable foe!

This  shot is open to your imagination ,,,,, after all, it is HOTT!!!!!

Tomorrow is this years Nashville Leg of the GBnUIT tournament and I'll have more pictures then as well as of today's forays, so stay tuned!

Happy Trails

Excellent!  One of my favourite things is when forum folks meet up in real life for a game or a drink or whatever.

Great to see both of you being able to meet up and of course to see pics of yourselves :)

Bill's visit has been so great! We spent the day playing a game of HOTT, which discussing the winner is not necessary! But I will say it was a slam dunk by one visiting Roundhead!!!! We chatted about proper colors for various uniforms and talked about armies. Bill showed me some of his work and his militaria collection from the pike and musket period, and all I can say about that is AWESOME. And what was truly exciting for me is he brought me a gift of a BEAUTIFUL vintage halberd head, which I can't wait to mount on the wall of my study! I will share a picture of it after tomorrow's tournament as it is far too late to try and get a picture. We capped off the evening watching the movie Apocalypto, which we both like.

Tomorrow is the GBnUIT tournament locally and I'll have more pictures to share afterwards.

You asked about the scratches on my left hand. I can only assume that most of you then are not bunny parents so are not familiar with the process of clipping a bunnies nails! Thursday morning we cut Winston's nails, and the processes is that I hold him while my wife clips the nails. Trust me, bunnies do NOT like being picked up and held, and then turned on their back so you can easily get to the the paws and nails - 5 in front and 4 in back. Well in an effort to escape they will kick and wiggle like crazy so there is never a time when it's nail cutting time that I don't end up with battle scars. And those back legs are VERY powerful! But I never worry as I know those babies are so scared, and if it wasn't for their best health we'd not do it - I'm just happy my babies are OK. And Winston said "Dad, I was so scared, and I'm sorry I hurt you." so I told him it was OK as long as he's OK, and we are still best buddies - he IS my little man.

More soon,

Terry

Yeah, my bunnyrats are just as bad! Two t-shirts and a hoody wrecked so far, but never had scars like that!

Yes those hind legs are powerfull. When our bunnies are 'aroused', they start kicking their back legs. Makes an awfully loud thud!

It seems we're present at the conception of a new HoTT army....

They can be quite feisty little beasts.

Years and years ago, Von and I had pair of Netherland dwarf rabbits.

Woe betide a cat who jumped into their 'run'.
The male rabbit once head butted one of our cats... (The cat was sitting in the run just cleaning itself, showing absolutely NO nasty intentions to the rabbits)....sending the cat into a backwards roll.
The look on the cat's face was a definite....."What the hell was that for ?"

Another time a neighbour's cat jumped into the run......The male rabbit pinned the cat against the netting, and I'm sure you could hear the little teeth snapping as the rabbit attacked the cat.
We had to rescue the cat...it was absolutely terrified.

For any fellow "Buffy" fans here I give you ...

Anya: I've got a theory, it could be bunnies!

Tara: I've got a theory-

Anya: Bunnies aren't just cute like everyone supposes.
They got them hoppy legs and twitchy little noses,
and what's with all the carrots!?
What do they need such good eyesight for anyway!?
Bunnies, bunnies, it must be bunnies!!
Or maybe midgets...

;D ;D ;D ;D

Your rabbits must have been related to General Woundwort.... ;)

Pierre, Funny you should mention that. Here's a picture of Winston that if not the General, certainly looks close enough. However, Winston is far too sweet to be like the General.

But when you see this how can anyone even think he's a Woundwort!!!! Trust me, he is as sweet as he looks in this picture.
