Wow, the first game with those Tau didn't go so well...

In unrelated news, I put some paint on some spear orcs:

Not too sure what to do with the shields.  Their bosses would get in the way of the designs that I did on the 10mm orcs.

Hmmmm.

I think we could do with that piccy shrinking  ;)

Still looking damn fine, though.  :)

Good looking stuff!

To make it a little easier to see those orcs

Hmmm, perhaps we could try out this "Preview" button...

Ah.   Yes.

Finished up the base coats (except for the back of a spear apparently) and threw on washes.

You need to add a width= or height= inside the first set of brackets.

For example

I've used curly brackets here rather than square so you can see what I'm doing the real thing has square ones.

And here's the image resized (you can vary the numbers used to increase or decrease the image size)

Normally I resize (and if I'm feeling fancy-crop) the pics before uploading them.

Not having any strong conception on how the shields should be done, I randomly threw some paint around.

I think we can eliminate the Ultramarine as a possibility!

I like the green (center bottom is close to what it looks like in person) and the black background.   Any thoughts?

Black with red star. Look suitably Orcy  8)

I prefer the red star one, like Matt.....Or go with your thoughts, on the green.
Either for me.

Cheers - Phil

fred.

The black with the red star looks good.

The 2 green ones with stripes work well too. I think a dark background with a pattern looks better than the solid colours.

I followed everyone's excellent advice

I'll probably go with the dark green shields with maybe similar designs on them for the next unit.

But that will have to wait because these guys need their teeth done and I've started up the trolls as the next unit.
