Personal brilliance is one thing but you need support. He does so well at Barca because they play to his strengths and the whole tam is in tune. Argentina...not so much. Still rate Messi way above Ronaldo.

Not really into schadenfreude. I'd rather focus on what we (sorry, for me, that is England) might do, rather than revel in the misfortunes of others. As long as the English play as if they want to, they enjoy it, and it matters to them, I will be satisfied whatever the results.

Australia went out without much fanfare.  Much like I suspected would be the case.  Still fun to participate though.  :)
