Hi again Tim,

I have found a bit more info on the guards, including two illustrations of the order of the battle honours. They seem to have gone in pairs, with Montmirail alone at the bottom.  This necessitated overlapping onto the red and blue sections in some cases. As far as I can see, the first line just about fits into the white space, on the second the A of Austerlitz and the A of Iena, both overlap onto the coloured stripes. On the third line the FR of Friedland and the NG of Essling overlap, and on the fourth the LA of La Moscowa. Montmirail is entirely within the white.

Working on the assumption that they were copying the previous imperial designs, that was what I'd have expected. I'm happier with that so I'll amend the designs to that.

Thanks
