The cavalry come 12 troopers, 3 command.  I don't need 2 command stands in every 5 (basing 6 to a base). What would you do? Just clip.down the staff for the standard?
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

From my limited reading it appears that most troops had a standard so having lots per unit is perhaps historical

Alternatively you could talk to that nice Mr Leon and I'm sure he would do you some packs without standards or without command

I'd probably have Leon put together a pack of 15 troopers and then use them to replace the extra cornet, trumperer and officer (which can become a field officer piece). I'm assuming that what you want is the command base to have the three command types plus three troopers to command the four x six trooper bases?

Pretty much what Paul just said.

I don't like to ask, I know the moulds are set up to do 12+3

See, Lemmy was right.  :)
Actually I've put in requests for off-piste packs before and there has never been a problem.

I annoy Leon all the time with specific orders for my League of Augsburg and Seven Years War collection....he is a very accommodating chap at customizing orders...

My 'worst' request was for 6 Cavalry from the War of the Pacific range as part of WWI order
From 3 different packs :-[
It wasn't two of each :-[ :-[

A most obliging chap, that Mr Leon :)
