Yep...As soon as you feel fit enough, Mike... (But only then, Matey)

Let us all know that you're feeling ...

There will be a lot of your chums on the forum who'll want to know that you're feeling better.

Best wishes - Phil

Ouch, that sounds less than fun! It wasn't the price of cinema tickets was it? I always go a bit faint when they tell me cost ;)

Hope your feeling better now and all OK.

Geez Mike, I hope you're feeling better now, that must have been a shock (to the cinema staff as well!)  Take it easy and we'll catch up with you at Falkirk hopefully.

Mike, you are about 6 foot, right.

Remind me when we are next chatting to stand 6 foot clear of me in case you topple over and land on me.

You'll need to shout at me as I'm still half deaf.

What was that, speak up, can't hear you.

Hope you are recovering well. Seems like you need to sit down and pint for a couple of days

Thanks for the good wishes folks, much appreciated.

Back of the head is still tender (so staying asleep is a problem) but the bump is definitely much reduced. Haven't collapsed again but have had a few "world spinning around" moments so clearly not quite right yet. Of course, there are those who might say that I'm clearly not quite right at the best of times :)

Current theory from the medics is that it was a sudden, massive spike in my blood pressure that caused the black-out. Given that seconds before I was thinking that I hadn't felt as happy and relaxed for weeks I have my doubts. In many ways, the best option is that it never happens again and I never know why it happened this time. Thanks to the battery of tests done there's a list as long as your arm of things it wasn't!

Jim, I'll stand well back at Carronade or Claymore to give you a chance to dodge out of the way :)

Just emailed Cineworld to sing the praises of the staff member who came to my aid. Hopefully they'll pass on my comments to her.

The ambulance crew joked that Cineworld should give me a free ticket but since I have a Cineworld Unlimited card that's not much use to me!

Was it a sudden and massive *drop* in blood pressure, maybe? Relaxed so much everything, err, relaxed... similar issues have happened to my mother, although her BP is usually so low the docs/nurses have to test several times before they believe it :D

Hope they find a resolution soon as!

Glad to hear you're feeling better, Mike !  :)

That's a b*gger, knowing lots of things that DIDN'T cause it.
Though I know exactly where you're coming from when you say you'd prefer to never know why it happened.

You take care, Matey.

Best wishes - Phil

As a trained hypochondriac, it sounds more like sudden LOW blood pressure, prehapes brought on by being TOO happy and relaxed.  :D

In any event, glad you are doing better.  :-bd

Woah that doesn't sound too good Mike.

Hope you are getting over whatever it was that caused it.

Stay well.

All the best

As my BP was 166/111 when first checked by the ambulance team  feeling seems to be high rather than low BP is the culprit. Though, to be fair, keeling over and bashing my head may be to blame for that reading!

Very high BP usually causes my vision to blur, then to cut out all together, then my balance is shot and finally I black out. Normally happens slowly enough that, now I know what's happening, I can deal with it early and avoid the later symptoms. I had all of that in the space of a few second this time around so no time to react.

Glad you are a bit better Mike.

I had some low blood pressure moments during my cancer op recovery period. My nurses got me very quickly from 'vertical mode' to 'horizontal mode' before calling in a medic. Par for the course they said. Certainly wasn't fun.
