With the current painting challenge, coupled with a desire to paint something none WWII plus getting some units done for pre-Salute practice games, I have re-started painting some more units for 'The Pikemen's Lament'. So this afternoon a unit of Shot got onto the painting table, albeit rather briefly, before being evicted as SWMBO wanted to cook in the kitchen. Painting due to resume for an hour or so this evening.

The unit of shot duly finished, but will let everything dry before varnishing tomorrow. I think I may re-highlight the leather work to make it stand out a bit more, but will decide in the morning when my eyes aren't so tired. Nice to be painting again and have a deadline to work to, so thanks Will :).

Thanks Paul. Another unit of shot half painted in terms of the main clothing and hats done. Leather work ,guns and faces tomorrow, if time allows. After these are completed, I really need to do some Dragoons, but I hate painting horses! For ease i will make the horses the same colour for each units, just so that they stand out more on the table.

FINALLY finished painting the figures for my extended Samurai army camp, just got to base it and extended the surrounding wrap (it must have a formal name, but it's too early to research that).
Just 30 republican and two command figures to go before Warfare...

Basing up an ECW regimental gun and crew for use with my 'The Pikemen's Lament' Companies. Ditto odd civilian figures for decoration and useful for certain scenarios. Very enjoyable.

Only managed some basing of spare figures so far this week, due to evenings having been busy with family stuff. Nice to have created some different units though.

80odd Principes started for my stalled Middle Republican Roman project. along with a whole heap of Renaissance generals, heavy knights and arquibusiers, a band and a chorus line for that 10mm Renaissance commission.
