So still no order from warlord, thus no painting of USMC and IJA.

But we ran out of dogfood, so a trip to the pet store had to be made. Found some cheap aquariu plants and took them home. Based them up yesterday, and textured the bases, painted and flocked them just now.

By the time those marines will get here, they will have a nice jungle to play in  :D

Perhaps some dry brushing on the leaves to add some variety to the greens :-\

Yes, I thought about that as well, but left it out to limit the time spent. Maybe later when I can spare it!  :D

If I may quote my favourite poet, on the subject of mountains, leaden or otherwise:

So pleas'd at first, the tow'ring Alps we try,
Mount o'er the vales, and seem to tread the sky;
Th' eternal snows appear already past,
And the first clouds and mountains seem the last;
But those attain'd, we tremble to survey
The growing labours of the lengthen'd way,
Th' increasing prospect tires our wand'ring eyes,
Hills peep o'er hills, and Alps on Alps arise!
I don't drink coffee to wake up. I wake up to drink coffee.

Got cracking on my tanks and infantry, but then dumped the infantry and concentrated on the tanks, because they were fun!

sherman for the pacific:

type 97 chi ha

with alternate turret (chi ha shinhoto)

picture showing the 'wavy stripes' of the camo scheme.

used the leftovers to make a 'dug in' version that can use either turret (base is not finished yet)

also really digging the damage markers that come with the tank kits!!

So that will add 3 models to the count (2 tanks and the dug in one, base will be finished tonight!)

626 miniatures finished!

I let my terrain making antics take over! No catching you anymore now!

Not helped that I will be painting lots os 28 mm now too. Will probably switch over to epic after that.

Still have usmc and ija first, then Perry French dragoons and British light dragoons after that.

Dark Elves to finish, then 4 commissions on the rack: 28mm Knights, 18mm Roman cavalry, 18mm Renaissance and 10mm Newline Sea People's.
Should get them done in the next couple of weeks!
Might partake of some epic after that. ;)
