A final shot of another, related, project mostly of interest here for the mat. This is a mat for Edgehill, 1642 - again reduced scale to that which I would normally use.

Edgehill looked pretty good - using the Irregular town sectors worked nicely! I had a quick look on the way past but I'd missed you in person :)

Really enjoyed the show on Sunday.   There seemed to be a stack
of impressive games from the LOA / WSS era which I appreciated.

Also very nice to bump into one of the forum members (Shedman)
and have a natter about the excellent Magenta display game.
This looked particularly impressive - I would certainly not want to be
one of the French Grenadiers, attacking across a bridge into a well
defended town.   I didn't get the chance to play on Sunday but,
at some point, would certainly like to give this period and the BBB
rules a try out.

I also got to chat to another forum member (Shutuphippie) about
the excellent Ramillies game his club laid on.   Pics in this thread.
Even more impressive when you see this 'live' - really looked the
part.   I thought the terrain looked particularly good.

I'm currently painting the same figures for the same era so this game
was an inspiration.

Thank you to both for taking the time to have a natter.   Its been
said many times but I think that putting a game on at a public show
should prioritise talking to interested spectators rather than treating it
as just another club game.   Credit to you both.
