Thinking about it a bit more, the blister I got him in20 years ago said "grail knight hero on foot", not foot knight.

Foot knights were no longer in the army list by then so was probably renamed.

I remember him slowing the entire unit down, because in those days the warhammer rules made a model on foot with armour take a movement penalty, and the unit moved at the rate of the slowest model  ;D

Funny, that. Nobody seems to impose movement penalties on armoured units these days, myself included.
I don't drink coffee to wake up. I wake up to drink coffee.

think it has something to do with 'streamlined' rules.

Most rules these days go with standard moves for troops, cavalry and sometimes a faster move for skirmishers.

found the foot knight, appears to be a hero from 1997

fred.

Thanks - I was just having a look at those. Most of them are cavalry though, only a couple of foot knights. But they certainly have the style of the GW figures.

I do quite like the classic Citadel foot knights (going back another 10 years probably!!) and 100 years in style too. These are still available from Foundry. But really I don't need any more 28mm figures. I've piles of Perry plastics to finish off, including lots of Men at Arms (which are effectively knights!)

Indeed!

It was My First warhammer force a long Time ago. Gave up on them because i couldn't Paint well enough back then.

Glad i can do them Justice now! Was looking at adding more models, nut sadly they are stupidly expensive now that gw binnen them.
