If that is them, without the backpack, just perfect. Many thanks guys.

R.O.T. don't panic (too much) as they are intended to be my version of the local constabulary  ;)

I was thinking of using the Zulu war infantry with short gaiters rather than puttees and a pith helmet with badge, They also are pack-less.

Hi

Just while we're discussing North West frontier figures I was just wondering about the NW3 Maxim HMG with team - if I took my glasses off, stepped backwards and squinted would the Maxim gun

look enough like a Vickers

in a VBCW police setting?

Cheers

Hi GrumpyOldMan

The maxim gun figure in the NWF range is different in it's mounting but the gun itself is very similar

Hopefully, the above link will take you to a contemporary picture of the gun

In 10mm the maxim and Vickers are about the same. All the differences are internal. Where would the Police get em from ?

Thanks for the replies. As to where would they get them, that's the beauty of VBCW, there's no right or wrong answer  ;D ;D, a supply of weapons and ammunition captured from brigands who'd earlier ambushed an Army supply convoy, weapons supplied by a sympathetic local army commander looking for a counterpoint for the local BUF thugs, weapons personally bought by the local gentry to ensure the safety of communities, ....... Anything you like really  :D.

Now just have to work out how to transfer a pith helmet onto a Boyes ATR figure and explain the pack  :).

Cheers
