Had a look at that blog and my first thought was that a Pickett's Charge game leads to a very messy table.

Progress as of 16th December - two weeks into the project, the 'will it survive past the initial boost of enthusiasm' period.

Productivity has been less this week, mainly due to a need to watch dvds before the terms of sale period elapses (Star Trek Enterprise for those interested) and a flare up of my stupid Irritable Bowel Syndrome - a great start to my birthday that was, sleeping on a sofa within rushing distance of the downstairs bog (actually it wasn't what you'll be thinking, thankfully). Still, any painting finished is a step nearer to completion, so its all good.

Even realised that photographing 10mm from a distance makes the paint job look better than when photographing up close ... Or is that just me?

I agree, take photo at range, then zoom in!
Great work, hope your feeling better.

Right. I'll get back to working on my 10mm ACW now. A fortnight painting other stuff, but now I want the artillery battery, the mounted infantry, a supply wagon thingy, and the second infantry unit painted before month's end.

There I've said it. Made myself a deadline. Who wants to bet I end up painting something entirely different?!  :'(

Thank you.

Some progress made. I took out of the bags the artillery battery / limber models & figures, also the supply wagon bits. And then didn't do anything else  ;D

CSA bits as it stands, now.

Hoping to get the rest of the figures for the 4-base unit painted before Sunday night. It's going to be a grey-clad uniform unit, firing line with gaps from battle losses, with only the one flag.
Then the artillery and limber after that. Then I'll have to think about basing them.

Got enough metal for another four 5-base infantry units, and half of what I want for my cavalry / raiders - cum - mounted infantry. I've also a couple of 6mm Baccus buildings to paint and see what they look like against the 10mm figures.

:)

Sunjester and I came up with a rework of the firing rules, as they are a bit all over the place, an if you set up right you can be impossible to hit

I'll see if I can find them

In other albums are my KSS Me Hardy cards, and the ones I'm most proud of examples of IABSM. Made on a Magic CCG editor. I enjoy doing that sort of support stuff- QRS, points calculators etc.
