#5 is totally true.  I end up on Google a lot thinking "I don't think that word means what they think it means..."  I still have never wrapped my head around "pants".

Indeed, I saw a box in Waterstone's today labelled Man Tin and wondered how they could fit an Eastenders' mountain in such a small box.

As to documentation to educational level. While it is true that I hold a few university degrees ( none of them in English), my research shows that these would be equivalent to one or two A levels on your side of the pond. Many of you have that (and more) and the rest are a d**d canny lot!
