So i'm painting up my hanoverian infantry i got at crisis in two landwehr battalions, giffhorn and peine.

Most sources say that the landwehr only had one flag or no flag at all according to some. Now i am contemplating of just giving them a regimental colour and using the second standard bearer as a pike next to it. like this:



Is this the sensible thing to do? Or is there proof that they used two flags anywhere?

Talking about landwehr, no field batallions!

Went with the pike and single flag option!

Just seen this.  One colour for the Hanoverian Landwehr battalions is correct.
