I Bought the GNW Russian Flags Sheet, but inside there was no regiment information about the flags represented.

Could Anyone specify this information, and for the Swedish (future project) also?

Thank You
Stefano

Welcome, Stefano. As you may notice about the forum, a bit of patience can be called for....

I've got a couple of books on GNW uniforms and colours. It states that Russian flags are very difficult to identify, the few that can be are from Swedish sources having been taken in battle. Unless somebody there have been any recent discoveries, you could safely use any flag for any unit.

For what it is worth, describing the pattern of flags identical to that shown on the Pendraken sheet, Angus Konstam's Osprey, Peter the Great's Army (1) Infantry, p40, says the following:

"The background colour of the company standards, where known, was as follows:

Red  Schlusselburgski, Astrakhanski, Kievski, Azovski.

Green. Archangelski, Vladimirski,  Nevaki, Ingermanlandski, Viborgski, Permski, St.Petersbourgski, Kazanski, Sibirski, Tobolski, Suzdalski, Boutyrski, Koporieschki, Troitski

Tawny. Belozerski, Novgorodski, Pskovski

Light Blue.  Nishegorodski, Voronezhski, Yaroslavski, Narvski, Loutski

Blue. Vologodski, Viatski, Moskovski, Riazanski, Smolenski

Yellow.  Rostovski, Tchernigovski.

Hope that helps.
