We were discussing how to get the green algae stain, from the exterior paint on the house.

"I use chemical 'X'," said I.... (Vile stuff.)
"You want to try 'Y' " said Bob......He then went on to tell me that he'd used the same household product by simmering it (watered down) to get rid of the carbonised crud, in a saucepan he'd b*ggred......... before his better half spotted the damage.

He then reasoned that the solution would probably work well to clear the algae.....He was absolutely right !

I ache in places, that I didn't know I had places, this morning.  ;D ;D ;D
Ache's muscles? Tired bones? You want to try new Rubitout? Long ago, Mongol tribesmen used to return from a long day riding, and disemboweling and generally causing mayhem. The Mongol women knew the answer for aging husbands - they poisoned them and took up with a younger lover.

Meanwhile, on the shores of Goa, young women learned from their mothers the secret to easing aching muscles. They took herbs and seaweed and the icky bit of a goat's eye and made it into a salve. This they rubbed into their supple young bodies - sometimes their own, sometimes with friends - and brought back the tingling warmth of a healthy body. Sometimes, there was no ache, and they did it for fun.

Recently Portugese scientists have sold the secret to a big American conglomorate, who have analysed the s**t out of it, identified the active ingredient and made new Rubitout. Now, not just for sleek Goan maidens, but for crinkly old Welshmen like you! Runitout! Just £9.99 from your local pharmicist!

No, Mark.... ;)

Mind you,..... that IS what I've used a couple of times to clean a saucepan.
(Though I used what I'd call 'ordinary' vinegar on those occasions.....Dun't 'arf make a stink !)

Yes, but they're still very, very fiddly.

It's not so bad on good British Roundels, but those damned Yankee stars need to point a particular way!

Well I had a lovely day yesterday at the excellent RAF Museum at Cosford.

There I met with a lovely, lovely Centurion tank called Ann ... there were also some aeroplanes.

Ann was wearing deep bronze green - the one that's a semi gloss and shows off her curves nicely.

Most impressive were the V bombers.

Ann was sporting the badges of the 17/21 Lancers.

Most interesting were the Japanese Dinah and the German Me410.

Thoroughly recommended as long as you're not coming cross country - for there are no road signs anywhere on the smaller routes.
