Modern infantry

Further to the comments on the Falklands War thread, could I humbly ask for an update from His Most Sable Majesty about modern infantry.

In the last few months we've had some excellent post WWII vehicles - all those lovely Egyptian and Syrian T34 variants - with more to come - but (and we're talking a Beyonce size "but" here) there's no infantry to go with 'em.

So, will we be getting some infantry support for these lovely works? Personally, I'd love to see some Korean War, 'cos we've got more than enough vehicles to go with 'em.

Then some Arab-Israeli foot sloggers?

Pleeeease?

There isn't really anything to update beyond what I posted earlier today:

"Yep, all planned.  The vehicles are always the time-consuming part of a range, so it's best to get those done first.  We'll be starting to work on some modern infantry towards the end of this year and through into 2017."

I'm SO looking forward to this !  :)

(Which ever order they get done in.  ;))

Truly, can't wait to start.

Righty then, since we've had quite a lot of posts about it recently, I've put some cogs in motion and we should have some more info/news coming soon.  All of the new modern ranges will be quite heavily customer-led, so we'll be hoping for a lot of feedback/ideas on them.

Can I request (insert some obscure war and soldier type here), just to slow down anything FSN actually wants and needs!

However, Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Indian troops would be cool, they have been at war rather nastily several times, and it is usually ignored by us westerners, their on-going territorial arguments would make excellent games.

No worries, those are on the draft lists we'll be discussing.

Well that's nice isn't it?   :P

I think that some nice infantry figures to go with the nice vehicles isn't an unreasonable request. It's not like I'm made of wood. Some Arab-Israeli figures would surely be quite popular? Cut me do I not bleed? Surely for the sake of completeness, some infantry are a necessity? Perhaps some gunners to go with existing guns?

In the spirit of the above, I think we should have the following BEFORE ANY of FSNS suggestions  :D

Can we have the following troops - Active personnel in brackets

Royal Bahamas Defence force (1500) They have a very nice white dress uniform
Barbados Defence Force (1000)
Gambian Army (2500 )
Luxemberg Army (990)
Seychelles (900) Nice airline pilot style dress uniform
Tonga (700) Active in Iraq and Afghanistan
Sao Tome and Principe (600)
Antigua and Barbuda (170)
St Kits and Nevis (150)

You could do a good imaginary Caribbean Civil War, fielding the entire armies of the protagonist

I'm surprised no ones asked for the Popes lot. Vatican guard, preferably in landsknecte style uniform with Steyr Aug assault rifles?! Possibly with the holy inquisition for command stands with nuns for logistical support?
