So finally managed to paint these up. THey are all pithead miniatures. The plan was to mix them with pendraken troops, to get more poses for my skirmish forces, but i messed up somewhere down the line, and used all my pendraken models for BKC.

After that i found out i had only kept british paratroops separate and no regulars, so i just used the pithead ones. Luckily i had just enough for a platoon!

These are 3 squads of 10 men, a hq section and some add ons, like extra models for a mortar, two piat teams, and some replacement bren gunners lying down.

So your British only fight on a drill square, the term is SECTION, not SQUAD.

Nice stuff.

Good stuff, I do like the Pithead British Infantry - they have all the extra kit / pick axes / shovels etc that photos of Normandy always show

They are indeed well equipped!

I think they also complement my pendraken minis very well . Adding a good amount of variety in painting. (i think i painted about 17 stands of infantry for BKc, so different poses are a welcome thing on the painting table!)

Peter,

Excellent looking troops!  I'd never thought much of Pitthead troops, but you've made them look pretty damn good.  But I really want to see more of your Red Devils in action ;)

The Pithead infantry is quite variable - I really like their British Infantry and Paras, some of the others are less good. They do have some great poses in their ranges though.

The red devils are still recovering from that pounding they took  ;D

I'm actually planning some fights togheter with these guys  in the normandy bocage. I am writing the unit profiles today, and hope to be able to start after that!
