I tend to start a fresh one every now and then as we get more new members on board.  It's always interesting to hear the origins of some of our more random monikers...

It's my name, so i took that. In all honesty, i tend to forget logins, so when i make a new one, i just use my name followed by 123.

also, my friends say 'pieje' or something similar, wich does not come out well in english i think

Orcs

Quite a few years ago about the time of the first Lord of the Rings film the miniatures company "Vendle" brought out their fantasy range. At the time I was helping Sunjester and another friend at quite a few wargames shows with their company.

Chatting in the van coming back from  a show having seen the  new range , someone said (not me guv) that it would be good to do the Battle of the Five Armies using these figures.  We all agreed to do one of the Good Armies  of about 80 figures and to make up the opposition we would each do a warband of  "just a few orcs".

The arms race escalated, fuelled by Colins genereous trade discount.  I liked the Orcs and Goblins the best and each show I would say " I am just going to Vendle for a few orcs".  My warband  of 28mm Orcs is now  some 600-700 strong plus associated trolls, giants and  characters .  I still have about 100 left to paint and do a few every so often as I like painting them.

Now when we get them out to play there are often 1200-2000 figures on the table.  You can have a look at the club page to get an Idea.  Its a 12 foot wide table and the Orcs are wall to wall and often 4 units deep
