Think he had a long stint in Las Vegas performing Elvish songs.

King Charles and Prince Rupert (and Boy) for the King and Cromwell and Heselrigge for Parliament completed this morning. Five generic cavalry officers also done to act as Baroque Markers for Motivated and Feared Horse Units.

Next up the disorder markers - both horse and foot.

Hoping to have some Agitators and Iron Officers to add at some stage too.
I don't think my wife likes me very much, when I had a heart attack she wrote for an ambulance.

That's sounding like really good progress, Nosher. Any chance of some pics?

Elves done, Picts done, Romans off painting sticks and onto bases.  Poles bases flocked, tufted and scattered; magnetised and photographed.

Once I've finished the lot (including dressing the bases) I'm hoping to bung up some pics.

They're a bit of a rush job - got a big Baroque game at the club in a week and a half and on a mix of lates and nights over the weekend so not a lot of painting time....

The Horse disorder markers are now done - only the infantry disorder markers to go. Not bad progress considering I keep getting distracted by ladies Handball, Ladies Beach Volleyball and Ladies Indoor Volleyball.......

Oh dear, painting stopped today as I began to devour the newly arrived copy of To the Strongest. Must get back to wielding the brush this evening. Two C19th battles to sort out before giving the ancients/medievals a proper look - Shiloh and Froeschwiller.

What are your first impressions?
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Leman

I like the sound of them for a fast and furious club game. I am now at least two decades beyond wanting a game with minute measurement, super-detail and masses of factors covering four to six A4 pages. For the type of player I am those types of games are about as much fun as chewing sawdust.

Sounds like a similar attitude I have myself these days

They should deliver what you want..... And more if you want it! They are rather like the CCA board and miniature  game rules. They are fun, and quick play, but they are also very clever. They have a lot of simple mechanisms which have subtle effects.  The light troops, evade rules, and limited effect of missiles, are all things I particularly like. I am a big fan.

I was thinking of buying them as digital. Either of you have any experience with the digital format?. I mean are they just a PDF or do they have electronic index's etc

Too old school I'm afraid. I bought them as physical - in that form I would liken them to Impetus for sturdiness.
