Saw the trailer, on the list to watch, since over the last 5 years I've been reading and buying all the books on the subject I come across.  Strange war film to pick, how well will it go down in the US???!!!!  Since it will be compared to the 58 film with John Mills.

I'll see if I can find that trailer.

Saw it a couple of days ago . Looks really good for the couple of minutes it went for
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Here is the first teaser:

As to US - it's Christopher Nolan - they give his credits - that alone will engender interest.
What is happening in the teaser is pretty ambiguous. A time of crisis - a guy on a beach - a bunch of soldiers in funny helmets doing a reverse wave (crouching down) before something making a terrifying noise - a transformer? Godzilla coming out of the sea? May have to go see it!

Hollywood?

Aah, so the US Navy will turn up and evacuate everybody whilst the US Army steam ashore and win the war in 1940......  ;D ;D ;D

Joking aside, I shall be making a point of going to watch that.  :D
Well that went down like a lead baboon......

And this one:

Interesting to have a war movie where the main character doesn't want to kill

Summer 2017 seems an awfully long way off.

Yes.....We don't even appear to have had Summer 2016 yet.

(No....Tell a lie.....It was one day last month. =))

Should have come to Tenby, four cracking days of sunshine

We have our own little micro climate here, Will,  =)

Cardigan's about 10 miles from Techno Towers. I can leave here with fog (cloud, really), drizzle or rain abounding...and by the time I get to Cardigan it's lovely and sunny. (Sometimes  ;))
Mind you.....We're almost 1,000 feet 'higher' than Cardigan.

Keep an eye open for the Millennium Falcon, Phil.

Dunkirk is intriguing, Dave's been waiting on it for a while now but we're not sure what kind of storyline they can pull out of it?  Bit of a chase/escape movie, with the evacuation being the final stage of the film?

I don't know about the Matt Damon one, is that him vs. dragons?  I'm never quite sure of these films where they've had to find a tenuous reason to put an American star into an Asian setting like that, especially when the Wall was built nearly 2000 years before America came into existence.

Hacksaw Ridge is my favourite of the bunch, I'd never heard of the guy before so I'm interested to see that one.  It looks like it'll tick a lot of boxes for the Oscars as well, so could it restore Mel Gibson's stock?
