Complete, simple and free! The Rulebook for Trial by Fire, WW1 wargaming rules is now online...

Thank you all who supported me during this whole time.

Enjoy and please give me your thoughts about the rulebook and the game.

Thank you, that is a fantastic amount of work. I am always appreciative of anyone who gives their time so freely.

Thank you sir! Seeing that World War I period is already a "not so much played" one, I decided to go for all free. This also allowed me to focus on game-rules-play tests and context rather than design, artwork and visual stuff.

Just had a quick skim so far but I like what I see very much.

Clearly a real labour of love. Well done!

Thanks for this.

They look to be very good and are clearly layed out, which is a joy to see. Look forward to being able to give this a go at some point :)

Very nice looking, cleanly laid out and straight toward. Nice!

Thanks for making this available to download.....a great work....very well set out.

I like how you have separate manuvre/battleskill and endurance factors....works well.

Have to give these a good read  :)

Thank you everyone! I'm really glad you liked it. Even if you can't play, I hope it provides you good read and some gaming options with scenarios.

And please tell your opinions if you get a chance to play.

Many thanks Batu. I think this could be what I have been looking for, so I'll give it a read and give you some feedback. My Turkish barber has been asking me about wargaming and what is involved. I'll show him this and see what he thinks.

I think I'd use these for the Eastern Front or very early Western Front, possibly even East Africa.

And I have the next small document for the rules; Trial by Fire - Skirmish and Grand Battle.

It's about changing the game scale to Battalion or Divisional level, rather than the standard Regimental, and also tips for running the game on much smaller or bigger tables with few or more miniatures than described in rulebook.

Enjoy!...
