There were Native Americans involved in a number of the smaller actions in the Southern Campaign of the AWI.

Some sources suggest they were present at some of the larger actions as well, e.g. Catawbas supporting Lee at the New Garden Quaker Meeting House before Guilford Courthouse

The numbers of Catawbas dropped so low that the Federal government "terminated" them as a tribe in 1959 :(

They managed to get re-recognised in 1993 and now number a few thousand

Nightponies, more like.  ;)

As Langensalza grinds remorselessly to its conclusion, I am using the time for white glue to dry to paint up the 6mm Bavarian cavalry and artillery for BBB Froeschwiller. Not finding this as easy as I used to so at the moment they are looking a bit impressionistic, but should be acceptable once complete.

Painting up a few SYW bits and pieces from IM, while waiting for the big order from P. to start to arrive.

IM do make some useful stuff, such as some Croats uncloaked and in different poses, and some nice carts and so on, but generally not keen on the actual SYW soldier figures.

Yep, I've got a few of their Croats for a more "wild frontier" look in the Grenzers. But it's a handful of stuff; I agree that Pendraken are better, and cheaper withal. Therefore 'tis that I have ordered them, indeed.
