Hello from the Netherlands

Hi Sojka

Welcome to the Forum.  I play Early WW2 in 10mm and Western Desert.

I like the Netherlands - have been on holiday there many times and always found every one (except ONE  stupid shop owner in Delft who traumatised my 4 year old.- At 22 she still remembers it ) very welcoming.

I have found the various women in my life all seem to have a passion for Stroopwafel. Personally I like Kibbling,( For those that don't know what this is there is no innuendo) and frittes with sate sauce.

You will soon learn that the threads derail very quickly and most forum members. Also there are lots of "in jokes" that you will get the hang of.

I have just remembered that one of my wargaming friends had a very "amusing (well for us)" experience whilst out drinking in Amsterdam. It involved him, a naked Lady, a banana and a chimpanzee.

Stroopwaffels and kibbeling are, indeed, wonderful parts of living in Holland.

And derailing threads are good! I am guilty of that as well.

Hi Sojka. Hope we don't scare you away too soon as we seem to do with some (only the worst cases seem to stay on - but that will soon become clear if you hang around long enough).  :)
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

I'm never sure if we scare them off or if they grab some popcorn and a seat in the gallery and watch the chimp's teaparty that is the forum in dignified silence :)

That's a good way to approach the Bar Room Brawl (or Barsoom Fight or what ever it is) Silence - and popcorn! :)
I prefer being a lemur (rather than chimp) if that's OK?
