Actually, the dog's b***ocks may be more appropriate.........anyway, a poshteen is a coat made of sheepskin with the fleece usually worn inwards and the outside dyed and sometimes embrodied. I think it orginates from Afghanistan and the NWF/Northern India area. Its a very wam coat and also a favourite item of clothing with hippies

The hippies or the poshteens?  ;D Actually, the coats do hum a bit which is why patchouli oil was liberally splashed on them to disguise the aroma and to throw off any following amourous rams! I had an poshteen coat or known as an 'afghan' in the early 80's and they did keep you as warm as toast but if it rained and you got wet, then you would have a seat to yourself on the bus
