After I had finished the church (see http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,9719.0.html for more details), I decided that I didn't like the base it was on so I changed it to a 120mm x 80mm -which is still in keeping with my 60 x 40 base multiplier. I have also made others to go with it, so now I have a little village for Eastern Europe which will fit from Medieval to Modern.

Everything is made from paper, card, toothpicks, balsa and coffee stirrers.

As usual, there are a lot more pictures and information on the blog.

You are good with your hands, as the actress said to the bishop.

Thanks for the comments fella's.

@ paulr: Admittedly that was not my original intention when I made the church but the idea grew on me.

Rimmer: "Aliens."

Lister: "Oh God, aliens... Your explanation for anything slightly peculiar is aliens, isn't it?

Rimmer: "Well, we didn't use it all, Lister. Who did?"

Lister: "Rimmer, aliens used our bog roll?"

Great looking terrain. Would like to see it stubbornly defended by Austrians against the rampaging Prussian hordes.

That's the real beauty of them. Generically, that style of building is good for any place and any when in Europe up until the advent of brick as the major building resource.

I was hoping you wouldn't notice, but there again, you always get one who loves pointing out the glaring error in a post.  ;)

I meant to say from medieval onwards but my finger got to the Post button before my brain had a chance to stop it.

Just discovered the thread on its resurrection. I very much like your buildings and bases Subedai (and your blog also for that matter).
Causing me to rethink my basing.

Coffee stirrers....... mmmmmm

Never ceases to amaze when I go to wargames shows that have a cafeteria that uses them and the containers are always full to the gunwales. Either people -and by people I mean wargamers- who either haven't discovered the multiple uses for these items or that I am the only one who has discovered the multiple uses for these items...pauses while readers think WTF is he on about...or that no one else makes their own buildings anymore bar me.

Now even I'm totally confused.

Dried Frog Pill over here please!
