Visit to Chickamauga and Lookout Mountain

Since people enjoyed my first Historical Sites post, here is an older colelction from my 2014 visit to the Chickamauga and Lookout Mountain. In retrospect I should had taken more time on that road trip from Statesboro to Chicago and explored more Civil War sites.

Yes Lookut mountain had a spectacular view. I wish I had thought to take my time and explore its trails. I did explore Chickamauga fully, but should had taken time to visit Missionary Ridge.

I would love to get the Confederate view from Missionary Ridge. It might help explain how the Union troops rolled up and over them.
