Sharpe Practice 2 so I can game more AWI/FIW and maybe even take on Indian Mutiny ;)

Impetvs Baroque which I'm hoping will give me the boost I need to make a start on two massive ECW Armies I have had in a box for over two years :o

Bloody Big Battles being available from Northstar Miniatures.  :-bd
I don't think my wife likes me very much, when I had a heart attack she wrote for an ambulance.

Just  received my copy of Baroque. Looks promising. One of the aspects I like is that a unit no longer has to be placed on opportunity in order to opportunity fire etc. Instead a discipline test is taken when opportunity presents itself and a pass means you can take the opportunity action you want.

Retirement for me ;) :D

Agreed. Can't see me carrying people down flights of stairs at 68 - but I'm still 21 years away from that point thankfully!

Both BBB and Baroque arrived earlier  in the week and have looked through both. While they seem well done,I will have to play them to grasp either. Hope to do Baroque soon but I will need some bloody big FPW armies before trying BBB (just started on that task with the arrival of my Pendraken order last week).  Hopefully Zippee and others will report on thier play experience with Baroque in the near future.
Encumbered by Idjits, we pressed on

Without wishing to scare anybody but wearing me shorts and flip flops in the sunshine is currently top of my list. Can't be doing with this long trousers, socks and shoes malarkey. Don't forget that I lived in Hong Kong for a while a a runtling and didn't own a pair of long trousers until senior school. Mind you, short trousers and wellies is an education in pain.

2017 Paint-Off - Winner!

Zippee

Playing our first game of Baroque tonight.

ECW - first thoughts are (having worked up a couple of sample armies) is that 600 points doesn't buy a lot - 4 horse and 6 foot and a gun aside. With 3 commanders that means flank commands of not a lot. . .

Hopefully it plays fast and we can expand on that. Because whilst that size force may be OK in 28mm it looks a tad feeble in 6mm  :-\

Will report on the game sometime tomorrow

My 1st New Zealand winter  8)

Although up here in the Northland it is known as the winterless north, autumn is wet, warm and windy so far  :)

With you on that one. Since retiring I tend to mostly wear shorts and sandals from April to the end of September.
