Pics from SELWG show at Crystal Palace of our old colonial set of rules for fighting in the Soudan

We did three battles in the end:
Battle 1: Egyptian punitive expedition against the Mahdi. Got to the river line but lost a third of the bashibazouks and gendarmerie
Battle 2: Camel Corp Column of London society on camelback that just about got away with it with very low losses except for the cavalry!
Battle 3: Late War/Kitchener era army that took apart the Mahdists in their entrenched camp

Good fun and lots of interest still in the Pendraken range of colonial figures
