Brilliant! We have those on our local narrow gauge in Leighton Buzzard! You should have come over for a trip on one!

d_guy I think they where used right up to the front in places probably forward gun positions

They had heavily Armoured roofs as they were used to haul supplies right up to the front, being petrol engine they were easy to run,but if hit caught fire rather nastily! The (mostly Chinese) track repair crews suffered horrendous casualties, but they could lay miles a day as the track came in prefabricated sections, eight men teams picked it up and dropped it in place!.
