Hello chaps,

Can anyone help me out with a couple of turtle related questions?

1) Does anyone have a photo of FL11 - the giant turtle from the Lizardmen range?

2) Can anyone provide me with a approximate shell diameter please?

Thank you. Carry on.  :)

Hi there,
At work at the moment, but here is mine on a 30mm wide by 60mm long base.

I would estimate between 20-25mm?

The shell is (as near as dammit).....22mm wide......and 30mm long.

That's not including the head, tail, or the legs.

Cheers - Phil

Giant turtles' heads could be a very embarrassing problem.  :-[

All it needs is 4 elephants and a disc!

Thanks gents. Might be too small for my needs. I am trying to mock up a Testudine Citadel for Galleys & Galleons.

The description runs: "Testudine Citadel – A mysterious floating fortification constructed by an ancient race on the shell of a giant sea turtle."

As I play in (roughly) 1/450, I figure I really need a shell diam. of around 40-50mm in order to build battlements on the shell and mount artillery.

Too big?  Reported as 7cm x 7cm x 2cm (approx) overall so shell somewhere about 5cm x 4cm?

That really is an excellent rendition of a shell, Ian.

Thanks chaps, this is part of a stalled fantasy project based loosely around Chaos & Law with a large dollop of Elric thrown in for good measure. Unusually mostly painted by me this time.

Cheers

Ithoriel, thank you, that might do indeed!

Ian, too small for my current needs, but very nicely done. :)
