I did hear (on the radio) fairly recently of a lass, that attempted to make Welsh rarebit, quickly,  by putting the bread and cheese in a toaster.....The toaster caught fire....She posted this on Faceache (?).....That she'd done something akin to a 'Techno'.....Effectively, extracting the urine against herself.....And the trolling she received was just appalling.

Yeah.....Fair enough......Basically a really daft thing to do......But we all come up with 'good ideas' that in retrospect are, basically, mind numbingly stupid.... Especially, yours truly.

Now.....I don't DO Facebook.....Mrs T does....Mostly equine welfare sites......And some of those get SO heated and nasty to the point of really evil threats, police involvement and arrests.
I've advised Mrs T to be very careful of the so called 'social media'...So she doesn't get involved with total 'nutters'....

That's why I love this forum......It never gets really out of hand.

And you would be hard put to tell the "nutters" from the rest of the forum membership!

But they're NICE, friendly 'nutters'.   

And I've got a lot of time for them...Because they're really special.

Being a pinko liberal atheist who's prone to being forthright in his view online I have to admit to being pleasantly surprised at the reaction of of most of those I "debate" with.

Apart from being regularly warned that I will burn in hell by religious American right-wingers (I know that's a stereotype but it is also my experience) I can't say I've had anything I'd class as a threat.

On FB I limit things to Friends which keeps things pretty civil.

I've never really experienced on-line unpleasantness, but that's probably because I only regularly go on five fora - all wargaming and none of them TMP.
