Hi,

Are you going to publish the formula you used to come up with the points for the units?
I must say it seems to work rather well so far.

It would save me reverse engineering it.

Cheers.

At this stage there are no plans to do so.   :-\

Buy plenty of Matron's sculpts now!

If he keeps using the chainsaw, the value of his work will soon go up.

Hi

I just picked up a copy of Warband at the York show and am looking forward to giving them an outing... as luck would have it I was already using 120mm x 60mm bases for my existing armies.

However, although I recognise the quality and balance of the army lists they don't fit my existing forces and indeed my fantasy-vision is different from the author's in some respects... which is why I'd like to request that you change the existing policy and publish the formula for creating forces.

I certainly understand the impulse to align the rules closely with your own range of figures but currently the choice is either use the official army lists or risk creating unbalanced units/creatures.  As it happens the vast majority of my figures are Pendraken and they stand on their own merits without any hint of protectionism.

Cheers

Personally, I can't help you that, Steve.

But a very warm welcome to the forum.  :-h

To be honest we've had no trouble shoe-horning units into existing troop types. My Dwarven Golems are Stone Elementals by a different name for example. More army lists my be good but really what there is covers all you might need with some poetic license.

Haha... I'd like to find a match for my Barbarian Woolly Rhino cavalry as one example... which I reckon in this game should be

MT 3d6
MV   2
ML 3d6
PR 2d6
MO  4
Impetuous
Fierce
Fear

It's not a deal breaker for me - I knew the army lists were proscriptive before I bought them. Normally I wouldn't care about the points so much but there seems to be a fair amount of importance placed on them.
