BBC is breaking the news, he has died aged 69 from cancer.
The world is definitely becoming a poorer place! :(

Yes great shame., and quite young, although I am comming to the conclusion that we have been sold the myth that we should all live to 80 and beyond.  Perhaps in reality  its still the three score years and 10 for most of us.

I think its also the age of the forum.  Most of us are 50+ so those people who were famous when we were young are all getting to 70 plus

It is likely that his lifestyle earlier in his career probably had an effect on his life expectancy, but the brightest candle often burns shortest.
