[of note: since my old English dentist retired some years ago I've been seen by several, excellent European (and one Indian) female dentists, and also one sadistic Welshman. I prefer the foreign dentists! They're better looking for one]
I play Dentist Bingo when I go. I don't think I've had the same one twice in the last 5 years.

Perhaps it's me?    :-\

As a foreigner myself I ask this question in all innocence with no disrespect intended to anyone:
I take it then that the English do not consider the Welsh foreign?

As to dentists - I'm from West Virginia  :D

Have a festive holiday RW  :)

Nope, same applies in the dentist I use on Catterick Garrison.

Welshman
Polish
Colonel in the British Army (I forgot about her - don't know why she was in a civvie clinic, mind. Unless she'd recently retired and still used her rank, which is fair enough)
Same Polish woman
Indian (temp. dentist - it was an emergency appointment)
Dutch. She sent me to hospital - with a mucous cyst - where I saw an Indian, or Bangladeshi doctor
Spanish (last two times)

The Welsh dentist left for whatever reason, and the Polish dentist left as she received a better offer elsewhere in the UK (possibly partnership in a practice, if memory serves me correct? She was an excellent dentist so it was a bit of a loss to not been treated by her any more)

Nope. Not me, at least. My paternal ancestry is Welsh. I'm a bit of an English mongrel, with all manner of British nationalities making up my blood and both main denominations of religion thrown in for good measure.

Seasons Greetings and all that, too d_guy
Rimmer: "Aliens."

Lister: "Oh God, aliens... Your explanation for anything slightly peculiar is aliens, isn't it?

Rimmer: "Well, we didn't use it all, Lister. Who did?"

Lister: "Rimmer, aliens used our bog roll?"

Technically I'm an Englishman, being born on the Wirral, which is now mostly part of Merseyside. I was schooled in Wales, where I learnt to speak Welsh, and my ancestry is English, Welsh, Scots, Dutch and Turkish.

Given my interest in the Celtic Fringe I think it is fantastic that the languages of the different regions are being taught and preserved!
Me - I'm still learning "English", but this board is helping.

I am impressed that you speak Welsh, good on you.
