Hi all,

I'm building a couple of forces for Blucher and I'd like some figure suggestions I could use to represent Spanish and Portuguese troops.

Thanks,
Ferb

Hi Ferb,

There is nothing for the Peninsular War on the Pendraken lists at all so I think your best bet is Magister Militum.  That's what I did.

Ferb

Ahh ok, I was wondering if I could use revolutionary wars French with bicornes to represent the Spanish.

John Cook

I've not seen those figures but I suppose the bicorne numbers might do.  You'll need to source the grenadiers from elsewhere though.  Then there is cavalry.

Ferb

Yeah, just looking to do 3 infantry units to bulk up the force at 200 pts though so I don't have to worry about cavalry yet.

Watch out for these, in previous correspondence Leon has said they don't really fit with other ranges particularly well...

Hi

The only other Spanish figures I know of are the Spanish Marines from Capitan Games (they also have Royal Marines with tophat which also might be handy for Spanish). The photos aren't the best but the figures might be better in the flesh.

As far as other bicorne wearing types, the only other ones I can think of apart from Magister Militum are the Bend Sinister/Redline early French.

Cheers
