Heartbreaking and horrifying but, sadly, not entirely unexpected.

Terribly, terribly sad on so many levels.

   Heartbreaking

Terrible for all involved - victims, witnesses, families and friends. At times I despair of mankind. Therefore, heartening to see solidarity being expressed worldwide by right thinking humans. Here's another example of how support is being expressed worldwide for France.

As some already know, with both daughters currently in Paris, Monday can't come soon enough for me.

This is an apalling act of terror and our thoughts will be with
our French friends.

I'm just back from the railway station to pick up my daughter, she was in Paris (she's studying photography). My family's Ok. My thoughts to the victims and their families.

Beyond that words fail me...

Year on year I am increasingly disturbed by "Lest we forget." How can we forget something we've never, as a species, learned?

All right, stop it. Too much compassion and good sense here. You're forgetting what being human is all about!

I was 700 meters away from one if the shootings, visiting a friend. I'm safe in Marseille today.
