I saw these a coup!e of days ago on FB. I was wondering if they were taken just for taking photographs sake or maybe ( probably unlikely) as instructional photographs for officers. I was thinking of the pictures of the troops in square etc
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Brilliant! The last one with the deck chairs obviously shows the chaps ready to scramble to beat back the dastardly french... Err the hun...  Err the chaps with sharp fruit... Hmmm.

Excellent find - some nice detail of squares formed at company and battalion level plus a couple of good ones of a skirmish line. I particularly like the one that has the paired skirmishers, the supports and reserve all in one shot - obviously posed but it shows how these things were done. It has given me some ideas on what to do with the 1860s Canadian militia.
